Some Thoughts on the Parable of the Talents...

In the parable of the talents the boss left for vacation and left with his three servants...talents...or abilities One of them got five, one got two and the other received one.  The one with five and the one with two invested theirs and doubled their investments.  The fellow with one buried his and earned nothing.  Watch this please.  The fellow who received two talents was just as accountable for what he was given as the one who received FIVE!  He couldn't do what we do and that's complain about how much somebody else was given to start with.  He not only couldn't complain about the seeming inequity it wouldn't do him any good to do so.  He's only responsible for what he HAS.  I have people all the time tell me "if I ever hit the lottery preacher and win 25 million dollars you won't have to worry about that building fund or special ministry at the church because I'm gonna give that money to the Good Lord!"  You know what?  I'm not nearly as concerned about the imaginary 25 million that you DON'T have as I am the $25.00 you DO have in your pocket right now that you won't use for God NOW!!  Hear me...God will never trust you with two until He can trust you to do the right thing with ONE.  He won't trust you with THREE until He can trust you to do the right thing with TWO!  He won't trust you with four until He can trust you to do the right thing with THREE...  This could go on into infinity but you get the point.  Our problem is not that we CAN'T...it's that we WON'T.

I was given many talents and I have them in my toolbox for the time of need. I'm thankful for my life and the duties of the Lord which is in stowed in me. I work with my tools every day and most nights for the Lord as he provides all my lifes needs. Just as much as he blesses me bless others shows the true meaning of love thy neighbor. I had been asked to attend a men's meat with my brother and I instantly said yes. I had a great time with the men and after the meat we sat and sang as I am a decent man with a a angelic voice that lit up the room and others followed. I had a dollar to my name and I was saving it for who needed it more than myself and the coca cola I would have liked to have and I settled for coffee. I got twenty five cents from my brother and saved it as I wasn't sure if It would be a blessing to happen or not. I kept the large amount of the blessing in my pocket and towards the end of our fellowship o was asked by a friend of my brother who's is James that God had put it in his heart to bless me. See James told his own lifes story about his before and after finding and acceptance of Christ and I enjoyed it. So I was full of joy and Thanks to have James bless me and as the fellowship was come to an end pastor had asked to pass the offering plate around to keep the mens group finances up so they are able to make that happen once a month. Brother James had given me a hundred dollars to use for what I may also I enjoyed this group and I then blessed all the men there with a hundred dollars I had. See the moral is that it takes one to show the rest the ways of the Lord. I enjoyed that nice cold coca cola on the way back to my brothers house and was full of utter enjoyment that I showed up with a dollar and left blessing those men with a hundred dollars which my Father had blessed me with. See I don't worry about what's next or how it is going to happen, I give it up to him and I get to bless others as I am blessed. To get love you must give love. I enjoyed reading your blog and God bless
